Ohmigosh I’m back everyone! Whether you noticed or not I’ve been on an impromptu hiatus that I feel totally guilty about. I had some major busyness in my life and could barely get my laundry done let alone blog. I promise, it won’t happen again. But why waste any more time? I’m just gonna dive right back in here:
Did you guys notice that some time ago, I live tweeted a bunch of pictures where I styled a gorgeous navy blue dress with vintage accessories? Well the lovely designer Maja Svensson lent me an ELSA AND ME dress for the day and I spent it perusing Brooklyn shops. Read about her line here for all the deets, but in short, her signature dress is super stylish, timeless, suitable for all ages and made with organic cotton.
I used some items from my own closest to style my dress including a thrifted hat and vintage necklace. Then I walked the dress up Fifth Avenue in Park Slope and found some amazing stuff to pair it with – not that it was hard!
Here I am at a local street fair and I’ve added a gorgeous vintage belt and clutch.
I found a retro-fab travel bag and horn-rimmed sunnies at a vintage/thrift store.
Check out these thrifted Valentino flats and my vintage scarf!
What do you think? You can get your own ELSA AND ME dress in midnight blue or in the other elegant hues including dusty black, vanilla white and power red. Don’t miss the newest iteration of the look and my personal favorite, the Jackie O (main image and below). It’s a combination of all the colors found in her previous designs and Maja does her best to use leftover fabric from the other dresses as often as possible. While the Jackie O can totally be worn any day of the week, it would look especially proper on July 4th, don’t you think?
Glad to be back!
