Dusty Rose Vintage Handbag Giveaway! | Green House of Fashion

**UPDATE: Our winner is Mary Rose Giles! Congrats Mary!!**

As you know, I’m a vintage/thrift addict and I think I can safely say that’s about all I regularly shop. So I was so excited to come across Dusty Rose Vintage, an amazing vintage shop, to be found on Etsy and Market Publique, full of unique and fabulous pieces that I drool over daily. Briefly, I’ll give you a run down of this outfit before noting the real reason for this post (hint: it’s a giveaway). My top is a thrifted basic white T-shirt with an adorable little graphic on the front and my jacket is a vintage find that I’m obsessed with. My shoes, you’ve seen before and they are vintage Stubbs and Wootton.

Okay, now the bag. This adorable vintage bag with gold hardware is amazing. I was tempted to keep it because it’s just the right size to fit all your essentials but not weigh you down. Also, I adore the mahogany hue that is ever so versatile. As you can see, I’m wearing this casually here, but you could definitely take the bag up a fancy notch and work it that way.

So to the point. This bag is up for grabs! It’s got a front flap that opens to a zipper pocket. There are three inner pockets, one with a clasp closure and smaller zipper pocket inside. In short, its spacious! The straps are just long enough to fit over your shoulder if you’re not bulked up with layers, but also great for toting around on your forearm or in hand.

So here’s how you enter:

1. FRIEND Dusty Rose Vintage on Facebook: facebook.com/dustyrosevintage

2. COMMENT on this blog post and tell us how you’d wear the bag (something like: how you’d style it, what colors you’d pair it with, etc.).

After you’ve done both, you’re officially entered.

*Entries will be accepted until midnight on Friday, April 20th and we’ll draw the winner (randomly selected) on Saturday, April 21st. I will reach out to the winner, get your mailing address and send away.

Also, don’t forget to follow Dusty Rose Vintage on twitter, Pinterest and via their blog!

Here’s more of the bag:

Thanks for reading and entering!!

XOXO,

Zanna

Love the bag. The best part is its versatility. You could wear it with anything!

  3. Liesje says:

Oh my! I was just looking for a little brown bag on Etsy this morning – how would I wear it? With the pair of matching brown leather oxfords, my new Modcloth dress (blue and white triangle print), Dad’s handkerchief from Holland and, what the heck? Pink sunnies!

  4. Murph says:

I just got offered my first grown-up job, so this bag would be a perfect grown-up thing for me to bring to the office!

  5. Oh. Goodness. What an adorable bag. First off, let me just say what a joy it is to read your blog, I only recently came across and have enjoyed it immensely.

Ok. With the bag I have a couple of ideas. I’d probably start off with a basic skinny jean. From there I’d go with one of the following ideas- I’ve really been enjoying the comeback of pastels, and I think the neutrality of say a light pink or mint top (maybe even something floral?!?) would really contrast well with the hue of the bag. On the other hand, I really like the earthy tone of the bag, so wearing with a burnt orange or similar earthy color would also compliment well. Ah, the possibilities with an adorable piece like that are endless :)

  6. Amber Owens says:

I love this bag. I would wear it with either a white or pastel colored blouse, with a pair of skinny jeans and a pair of strappy wedges or oxfords!

  7. Elif says:

I really like that bag. So adorable and not that huge! Small is my thing I don’t know why. I would style that bag with anything, It doesn’t have to be in the shades of browns. I could match that with a nice vintage green and yellow outfit. Or maybe a pastel coloured dress. Or skinny jeans and a nice flower patterned white shirt with this cute bag. *sigh* :) I’m friends with dusty rose on Facebook.

  8. First of all I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you
do not mind. I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your
head before writing. I’ve had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out.
I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the
first 10 to 15 minutes are lost just trying to figure
out how to begin. Any ideas or hints? Many thanks!
