Eco Autumn Ensemble
Sure I love foliage. I’m a fan of all things cider. And yea, pumpkin ale is pretty good. But my all time favorite thing about the fall season is wearing scarves! I know that sounds ridiculous…but seriously. It’s like a security blanket no one realizes you’re wearing. They can pretty much snazz up any outfit, do double-duty as a shawl and triple-duty as an umbrella! To honor my autumn ally, I’ve created an entire ensemble based around a beautiful Fair Trade scarf made by Taraluna. Whatd’ya think?
1. Koch – Longfellow Cardigan 2. Samantha Pleet Starboard Shirt 3. Taraluna Fair Trade scarf (and my inspiration) 4. Pendleton Mustard Shorts 5. SENDRA City Cervantes boots, featured in Zanna’s recent post 6. Textured organic cotton tights by Maggie’s Functional Organics
And for all you local readers, I’m happy to say that the cardigan, shirt and shorts from this outfit can all be found at KAIGHT, an NYC (east village and Brooklyn) based boutique dedicated to slow fashion. KAIGHT stocks emerging green designers from the U.S., Europe and Canada that make clothes that push the boundaries of fashion in an environmentally conscious and ethical way.
Peace!
Bree
