I have chills! Why, you ask? BECAUSE…I just found another amazing eco-label called Eairth. But, you probably figured that out based on the above.

Created by New York Designer Melissa Dizon, Eairth introduced its first line in 2007 and is made from organic materials such as pina, abaca, silk, cotton and wool and harvested by indigenous tribes. The line uses pigments from ingredients like coconut husk, talisay leaves, and indigo and the fabrics are hand-woven made in old-style looms. Frankly, that’s just awesome and I wish wield a loom.

According to the website, “Eairth resonates a calm maturity of design that doesn’t bank on trends, rather, it draws its strength from fundamentals of construction and draping, shifting to create directional pieces as well as ‘new classics.’” This couldn’t be more dead on, though you’ll see that once you check out the Eairth Fall 2011 Collection.

I picked a bunch of my absolute favorites as you can see above, and seriously, these clothes and the gorgeous photography just make me want to go all zen, throw out all but my basics and live on multi-grain bread and fruit. And meditation.

You can buy Eairth at various locations, like at Barney’s New York, which coincidentally is having a sale right now on the Spring line, making it actually very affordable. Check that out on barneys.com. For more locations see their stockists page.

Side note: I could totally be pronouncing it wrong, but I feel like I have a cool Irish brogue when I say “Eairth.” Just one more reason to like this line.

Hugs,

Zanna
